Jerry E. Berry, President, with the concurrence of Commissioners Bill Lightner and Jack David Woodrum has called a Special Session of the Summers County Commission on Monday, May 14th at 9:00 a.m. for the following purposes:
1. Budget Revision
2. Reschedule the May 21, 2012 County Commission Meeting due to scheduling conflict

NOTICE
The Summers County Commission will celebrate the state's birthday by encouraging all county employees to dress in Civil War period costumes and uniforms in an effort to rekindle an annual celebration of the state's heritage.
"Next year is the 150th anniversary of the Civil War," stated Bobby Cox, "and this will be a trial run to get ready for the big celebration in 2013.
The activities will take place on June 19 since the courthouse will be closed on June 20, the actual day of the state's birthday.
The commissioners welcomed the idean, voting to designate June 19 a day when the county will celebrate the state's birthday. For information on the celebration, contact Bobby Cox at bwcox2011@yahoo.com
